About Election Commission of Pakistan
The Election Commission of Pakistan was founded on the 23rd of March on Pakistan Resolution Day according to the 1956 Constitution. It is an independent and autonomous federal body that is authorized and responsible for conducting the elections in the country, i.e. Elections for the Presidency, Local Governments, National Parliament, Provincial Legislatures, etc. This organization functions according to the constitution of Pakistan to provide its quality services based on transparency, fairness, and merit. The key people in this organization are the 4 retired Judges of the High court; each represents the four provinces and the Chief of ECP. Currently, this organization is functioning under the management of Chief ECP Mr. Sikandar Sultan Raja. The head office of the Election Commission is located in the federal territory of the country, Sector G5/2, Constitution Avenue, Islamabad.
