About Military Engineering Service (MES)

Military Engineering Service is an organized department of the Ministry of Defense, which is responsible for the maintenance of roads, bridges, sewerage, drainage, electricity, water supply, and so many other facilities. This department is also responsible for designing and constructing the projects mentioned above. It has different professional organizations operating for the betterment and maintenance i.e. Furniture and Stores(F&S), Building and Roads (B&R), and Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) respectively. This department is providing its services to the Division of Police, Army, Air Force, and Navy. This department has divided its services into different departments, i.e. Furniture for Division of Police, Navy, and Air Force comes under the MES department, Furniture for Army comes under QMG’s department whereas Maintenance work is handled by Formations HQ. Apart from this Military College of Engineering is also situated in Risalpur, which offers various programs for the officers and MES Staff.
