About Ministry of Defence (MOD)
The Ministry of Defence is responsible for acquiring all defense policies of the government related to national security in the right direction according to the national interest. This ministry was formed on 14 August 1947 in Karachi, Pakistan, after the independence. It is currently operated under the leadership of Pakistan’s cabinet member Mr. Pervez Khan Khattak and comes under the authority of the government of Pakistan. The main objective of this ministry is to plan all defense policies of Pakistan, to manage armed forces, executing the defense budget, maintaining law and order by executing defense strategies, and contributing with other countries for maintaining peace worldwide. The aim and vision of this ministry is to protect the assets of the country through defense organizations that are operating under this department.
