About National Accountability Bureau
The National Accountability Bureau is an organization of anti-corruption in Pakistan, which is responsible for the transparency and elimination of corruption by various means of awareness and enforcement. The headquarter of this department is in Islamabad with seven different regional offices at Quetta, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, and Peshawar. This department operates under the National Accountability Ordinance and has a vision of creating an efficient and effective environment for a corruption-free society. The main objective of this department is speedy accountability and implementation of transparency for the betterment of upcoming generations. NAB was formed on the 6th of November 1999 and in the beginning phase, they only focused on investigating and eliminating white-collar criminals. This department is authorized to make any necessary prevention in case of enforcing operation against economic and financial crimes.
