About Water and Power Development Authority
The full form of WAPDA is Water and Power Development Authority. It is a Federal Government organization which was founded in year 1958. The headquarters of WAPDA is in Lahore. The main objective of this organization is to use the dams to conserve the water so that they can produce energy in Pakistan. This department also makes future plans for the usage of such energy. In the next 3 to 12 years, it is planning and working on making 5 more multi-dimensional dams for the storage of water. The main purpose of those dams is to make cheap hydroelectricity for the usage of citizens of Pakistan as well as for the industries. WAPDA is going towards more and more success with the huge support of the current Government of Pakistan.
