The Civil Hospital Karachi was founded in the year 1898 in undivided India. This hospital is owned by the Government of Pakistan and is providing multiple services, i.e. Cardiac Surgery, Neuro Surgery, General Surgery, Anesthesiology, Gynecology, Oncology, Radiology, etc. This hospital was renamed in the year 2017 as Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital in the memory of German-Born Pakistani Nun Miss. Ruth Pfau (known as Pakistan’s Mother Teresa) by the current Chief Minister of Sindh Mr. Murad Ali Shah.
