About Hyderabad Electric Supply Company
Hyderabad Electric Supply Company is also known as HESCO. This company was established under the constitutional amendments in “1981 WAPDA ACT”. Later on the 23rd of April 1998, HESCO formed into a legal corporation after taking over the responsibilities of generating and distributing electricity in the areas of Hyderabad when the Pakistan government approved the idea of revamping WAPDA. On the 1st of July 1998, NEPRA issued the “Certificate for Commencement of Business” to HESCO and since then, this organization is providing quality services by expanding and ensuring the safe supply of electricity in all the districts of Sindh and Hyderabad at cheap, affordable, and economical rates. The main vision of this organization is to generate an uninterrupted supply of quality power to contribute in the socio-economic growth of the country. Presently, this organization is functioning under the leadership of management CEO & Executive Director Mr. Rehan Hamid, Independent Director Engr. Sheikh Jamil, and Non-Executive Director/Deputy Secretary Power Division Mr. Akbar Azam.
