About Islamabad Electric Supply Company
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company is also known as IESCO. It was established 23 years ago in the year 1998 to meet the electricity demand in the federal capital territory of Pakistan, Islamabad. It is an electric power public utility company that is providing the need of electricity supply to 2.8 million consumers of Islamabad city. This company was founded under the amendment of the 1981 WAPDA Act, but later on the 25th of April 1998, this company formed into a legal corporation and ranked as an independent body to function under Section 146(2) of 1984 Companies Ordinance. The main focus and vision of this organization is to provide safe, reliable, and efficient energy at cheap and economical rates to weed out corruption, improve customer satisfaction and increase revenue generation by tackling all problems through justice, merit, and fair play. This company is authorized by the Ministry of Energy and is functioning under the management of Chairman Engr. Salahuddin Rafai and CEO Mr. Abdul Razzak.
