About Pakistan Agricultural Research Council
PARC was founded in the year 1948 by the government of Pakistan as Food and Agriculture Committee (FAC) to aid and promote agricultural research programs in Pakistan. Later in the year 1981, FAC was publicized as Pakistan Agricultural Research Council. This national organization works with the collaboration of the Ministry of National Food Security and Research and other Federal and Provincial institutions. This organization is based upon seven divisions, i.e. Finance Division, Social Sciences Division, Agricultural Engineering Division, Animal Sciences Division, Coordination & Monitoring Division, and Plant Sciences Division. This organization is responsible to arrange expeditious utilization in order to acquire information related to the agriculture sector. This organization has multiple research establishments situated in various parts of Pakistan, i.e. Karachi, Thatta, Islamabad, Quetta, Mansehra, Kaghan, Gilgit, and KPK. PARC is presently functioning under the management of Chairman Dr. M. Azeem Khan. The head office of this organization is situated in Islamabad, Pakistan.
