The Pakistan Television Corporation was founded 56 years ago with the establishment of a small pilot TV station on the 26th of November, 1964. On this historic date, PTV broadcasted their first black and white transmission at Lahore. The idea behind this national television broadcasting was designed in late 1956 and later in the year 1960, this organization was established with the support of the Second President of Pakistan Mr. Ayub Khan. PTV started their broadcasting with a single channel and now it consists of various channels, i.e. PTV Home, World, Global, National, Bolan, Sports, News, Parliament, Sindh, Peshawar, Teleschool, and AJK TV. Currently, this television corporation is operating under the management of Chairman Mr. Naeem Bokhari with a workforce of more than 6000 employees.
