About Malir Development Authority
The Malir Development Authority was established in the year 1993 by the government of Sindh with a vision of overseeing, developing, and restoring the administrative district of the Karachi division, Malir. Later in the year 2001, this authority started functioning by merging with City District Government Karachi also known as CDGK. Later in the year 2010, CDSK dissolved, which ranked MDA as an independent body to function. This development authority is authorized for covering a large area from Gulshan Town to Gadap Town. This authority is currently operating with the object of providing low-cost housing to offer better facilities at affordable and economical rates. This authority is working on 3 housing schemes, i.e. Taiser Town Scheme, Shah Latif Town Scheme, New Malir Housing Scheme-1. Presently, MDA is functioning under the management of Director General Mr. Imran Atta Soomro and Additional Director General Mr. Abdul Nasir Khan.
