The Minister of Foreign Affairs was established 73 years ago on the independence day of Pakistan, i.e. 14th of August, 1947. This ministry is based on various divisions such as Audit & Councilor Affairs, Afghanistan, Iran & Turkey & West Asia Division, United Nations Division, Economic Coordination & Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Policy Planning & Research, Press Information Office, etc. MOFA is operating under the leadership of Foreign Minister Mr. Shah Mahmood Qureshi which is responsible for managing various departments, i.e. Bureau of Foreign Intelligence, Institute of Strategic Studies, Department of National Assessment & Security Auditing, Department of Nuclear Disarmament, Non-Proliferation & Nuclear Power, and Department of Comprehensive Nuclear Testing Ban.
