The Ministry of Science and Technology was established 57 years ago in the year 1964. It is a cabinet-level ministry that is authorized and responsible to manage, coordinate and plan the science policies for the socio-economic growth and development of Pakistan. This organization is authorized to control many important organizations of Pakistan, i.e. PCSIR, PASTIC, PSQCA, CUI, CWHR, NUST, NUTECH, NIO, NIE, PMNH, PHA, STEDEC, PCRET, PVRWR, PEC, PNAC, PSF, and PMNH. This ministry is currently operating with the vision of initiating and launching technological science programs to achieve prosperity in all sectors of development. This ministry is authorized by the Federal Government of Pakistan which is functioning under the management of Federal Minister of Science & Technology Mr. Shibli Faraz and Federal Secretary Mr. Nadeem Irshad Kayani.
