About Punjab Assembly
The Punjab Assembly is also known as the provincial assembly of Punjab which was settled and acclaimed under Article 106 of the Pakistan constitution. This assembly is based on the structure of 371 parliamentary seats in which the 66 seats are for women, 8 for non-Muslims while the rest 297 are general seats of assembly. According to the constitution of Pakistan, the member of the assembly should be a citizen of Pakistan and shouldn’t be less than 25 years of age. This assembly is situated in Lahore, Pakistan which is the biggest city of Punjab province. The leadership of this assembly comes under the management of a speaker, deputy speaker, house leader, and an opposition leader. The current speaker of the Punjab Assembly is Mr. Ch. Pervaiz Elahi, Deputy Speaker is Mr. Dost. Muhammad Mazari, the Leader of the House is Mr. Usman Buzdar, while the leader of the opposition is Mr. Humza Shahbaz Shareef.
