Punjab Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority was founded under the 1999 Ordinance (No XXIV) which was publicized by the Governor of Punjab. Later in the year 2010, TEVTA was replaced by the 2010 TEVTA (Act X) by the government of Punjab.
